Step-By-Step

Select all the branch shapes and select Weld from the Arrange Menu. Click on the "Weld To" button and click on any of the selected shapes. This creates one continous shape. Fill with a medium brown. Create a duplicate (Ctrl D), flop and reduce the size and fill with a deeper green.
