Almost Made It…

All mermaids and mermen have been taught since they were guppies to stay in the deep; and never, ever, go up to the surface. This mermaid tried to sneak off to a beach-party and did not make it…

The image was created by slicing/dicing some basic shapes and bringing them back together again. I had a lot of fun creating this illustration.
