Roger Cotgreave Hello my name is Roger Cotgreave (Tao Jones). I am 53 years of age. I live with my lovely wife Anke and our dog Nelly in a beautiful subtropical paradise
called Byron Bay, a small coastal town populated with surfers, hippies, new agers, drop outs, drop ins and a growing rich society. I fit in there somewhere in that lot. I would like to think of myself as a sensitive
guy who is in touch with color and sound and enjoys the ups and downs of life. I read Rumi, I teach Tai Chi and practice Zen Shiatsu. I like jazz, opera and of course Van Morrison.
My past time is walking the dog, surfing and now playing in this great program Xara X. This is one heck of a program and I was so pleased when Gary W.
Priester, my mentor, asked me to be the feature artist for the month. I have only been using a computer for a year; and it wasn't that long ago that I started to draw and paint. I hated school and my music teacher
told me I had no chance of ever singing, and my art teacher said forget it, stick figures have never been popular. So for years I kept silent and my stick figures were locked away. Then I read 'Drawing on the
right side of the brain'. Now I sing while I draw. I still do stick figures but at least they come out of the creative side of my head. I am writing a kids story at the moment about how to see and feel life, and
how to stay sensitive to all the beauty and the ugliness of this wonderful earth.
My sketches here are me having great fun while I learn the ins and outs of  Xara X. There is lots of help with Xara from a lovely bunch of people
                                at the Xara Forum.
I highly recommending buying Xara or at least taking it for a 30-day test run, but be warned it is highly addictive, on with the show! —Tao Jones

                                Something opens our wings.

Something makes boredom and hurt disappear.

Someone fills the cup in front of us.
