Martello Tower ©2002 Eric Bramhill

'This image was originally created in Bryce. It shows a cross section of a Martello Tower. These towers were built all along the SE coast of England to repel an invasion by Napoleon. Many still remain. They were mounted with a 24 pound cannon.

Recently I wanted to create a vector version of the Bryce produced raster image. I'm much happier with the vector image, except for the bitmapped filled floor boards, which I couldn't find a decent wood fill for. I seem to be stuck in the Napoleonic era lately!'
