We’ll begin by creating a stormy Southwestern sunset. We can create a reasonably believable cloud-filled sky (free from copyright infringement :-) using Corel's Sky - 3 Colors Texture Fill. To add the appearance of a sunset thunder storm, I've modified the colors (the normal Sky 3 Color fill is shown in the bottom panel) and changed the Smoothness setting to 30 from the default 50. This causes the clouds to be smaller.
