Next we’ll create the channeled lead strips that hold the glass in place. Apply a Contour (Effects-Contour) of .10" (1/10"), To Outside, 1 Step, to each line. You should wind up with something that looks like this.

One by one, select each Contour, by the outline and Separate (Arrange-Separate). Select the outline again, but this time Ungroup it. (Arrange-Ungroup). Delete the center line. Repeat this process for each Contour.
