Priester - 1 JUNE 2011 ©2011 Madalynne Crowe In this tutorial, we will take a photo image of a white car and change the color of the paint to give it a rich, custom 2-tone color paint job. We will be working a lot with layers to help us keep track of alterations as well as to give us better control. We will be drawing over the top of the original photo to give the illusion that the car was painted in the colors of our choice. Note: This tutorial is ONLY applicable with cars with a white, gray or silver color paint. If you try to use a photo of car with any other color, please be aware that this tutorial Will Not Work.  Note: The Mustang is a virtual car photo and was created by Madalynne Crowe within the video game GRAN TURISMO 5 for the Playstation 3. The same techniques used in this tutorial can obviously be applied to a real photo. Some experience with Xara or with another vector based drawing applications will be helpful.
