The Background Start off by creating a large rectangle 575 x 375 pix, and filling it with a dark-to-light Linear gradient fill, going from top to bottom. This will be the
background for our image. Use any colours you like, so long as the darker colour is at the top.
The background colours used in this example are R 204 G 153 B 255 for the bottom, and R 51 G 51 B 51 for the top. The Profile was then set to "Profile 1".
To create a bit of subtle texture for my background, I cloned my current background and filled the rectangle with a black Fractal Clouds fill. I then set the transparency
mode to Saturation, set the center transparency level to 25%, and compressed the fractal fill vertically slightly; to help fit it to the perspective of the floor surface.
Take note though that certain colour schemes will not yield as nice an effect.
You'll have to experiment a little on your own if you want to apply your own colour scheme.
