NOTE: Xara 3D 5 can import WMF (Windows Metafile) and EMF (Enhanced Metafile) file formats. The color information is discarded and only the shape of the object is imported into Xara 3D. You can apply color to objects in Xara 3D. But only one color to the surface of any object. There is a method of matching a colored bitmap to the shape which is covered in the April 1999 Xara Xone tutorial. Xara 3D can also import Xara XAR and Xara WEB files but for these you will need to have the Xara WEB plug in installed.
One of the purposes of the GIF animation animation is to preview how the individual elements will work. The main purpose is to create the elements that will be imported into Xara 3D.
Each frame will be imported into Xara 3D to create a single rolling animation. Then from the 8 individual animations, a single progressive frame will be saved as a 2D image and then imported back into Xara X's Animation Window.
