I was working at Corel when I was first introduced to Xara. A friend had discovered it and was so filled with adjectives that I had to wonder if he had taken a severe
blow to the head. Never the less, when I left Corel I had my employee copy of CorelDraw under one arm and Xara under the other. They both ended up side by side on the cubicle shelf at KeyLabs.I really never used them
until the company bought BugNet.com. Enter the red headed step child. It all started innocently enough with the bugs. There were bugs for the logo, corporate slideshow , trade show booth and Website. Next came
illustrations for articles, banner adds, marketing materials, you name it. I didn't have enough space or patience to install and use CorelDraw, so the challenge fell to Xara. I soon discovered that I could accomplish
almost any effect that I needed. I actually gave up all my other graphics programs — the paint programs, the web programs, the presentations programs, the charting programs. All gone. I do everything now in Xara. —Jonna |
